As the social media/community engagement manager for Missouri State University's Campus Garden, I was tasked with redesigning our previous logo to rebrand and create new merchandise.
With the new logo, the goal was to create something flowing, organic, and playful, really emphasizing our "serve, educate, grow" motto.
PROCESS
In my early sketches of the redesign, I played around with the different types of produce and bugs that were present in the illustration, balancing the number of elements and figuring out how the text would fit.
As I refined my illustrations for both a larger and smaller design, I finalized the elements that would appear, including a variety of produce, helpful pollinators, and gardening tools.
For the process of adding text, I initially played with various typefaces for "Campus Garden," but after receiving feedback from management, I went with bubbly, handwritten lettering for the main text and Bebas Neue as the more official secondary typeface.
This new logo was modified for merchandise and stationary tools, seen below!

Another role of mine in my work for Missouri State's Campus Garden was running and curating our social media accounts. My goal with my photography, infographics, and posts on our Instagram and Facebook pages was to incorporate our brand colors as much as possible and create fun, eye-catching spreads that would foster engagement.
