In this drawing project, I was encouraged to illustrate a fear of mine in a new or interesting way. I decided to depict my fears of loneliness and personal isolation in the vastness of the universe, bringing a sort of celestial whimsy and innocence to something that troubles me.
Though my main goal was to have fun and really push texture and color to create a strange, vibrant, and memorable piece, I found myself returning to the same question throughout my process, something that I think drives home the theme of the illustration:
who am I in the enormity of all this?
